For our annual Product Guide, we've pulled together a showcase of products in 10 major categories from flooring and lighting to outdoor furnishings and restrooms. Just like designers selecting chairs, finishes and materials for their projects, we carefully consider each product chosen for inclusion, weighing factors such as relevance, value, aesthetics, innovation and performance to curate a guide that we hope will be both interesting and useful. Some of the products featured were discovered by our team throughout the year at various shows and events. Many others came our way directly from manu- facturers eager to have their products presented to rd+d's valued readers. In fact, earlier this summer, we put out a call to manufacturers to send us their newest and best products of interest to our readers and received hundreds of submis- sions in response, for which we're grateful. Because we know that choosing the right products for your projects can be as challenging as it is exciting, we've also included insights from top designers who, over their careers, have learned a thing or two about how best to approach product selection and design decisions in specific categories.
