The Houston-based chain has executed five separate franchise agreements. Noble Restaurant Group already has one location in Pearland and is set to open four ad- ditional units, with the first expected to open in Houston in January. Franchisee Ft. Bend Fajitas, LLC expanded its agreement to open three additional locations, with the first to open in Katy. Three stand- alone agreements will bring units to Cypress, College Station and Spring. New franchisee Josh Royal will spearhead Captain D's entry into the South Florida region. Royal has agreed to open three new locations, specifically targeting Belle Glade, Riviera Beach and Lehigh Acres. Royal and his family currently operate 10 Popeye's locations throughout the South Florida market and have previ- ously owned Burger King franchises. Captain D's also signed a fran- chise development agreement with Donnell Thompson, who will bring a new location to Fayetteville, N.C., in late 2019. He owns and operates several Denny's restaurants throughout North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia. Coupled with its ongoing menu innovation, Captain D's credits its new restaurant beach design with contributing to the brand's ongoing strong performance. To date, nearly 80 percent of all restaurants have been reimaged to the brand's new coastal design. Captain D's has more than 530 restaurants in 22 states.
