The full-service restaurant and bar debuted in 2011 with a focus on American craft beer. It began franchis- ing in 2015. A Novi, Mich., location is expected to open in January and a new Chicago location is expected to open adjacent to Wrigley Field in March. Further growth plans include a three-store expansion in Ohio, a two-store expansion in Pennsylvania, as well as the concept's debut in Texas with three stores planned for Frisco. Each Beerhead location features hundreds of local and American craft beer options as well as a lunch and dinner menu served in a casual setting. Le Macaron Adds Mobile Kiosk Le Macaron French Pastries added a mobile kiosk to capitalize on the growing quick-serve and snack trend. The chain will target captive audience spaces like airports, malls, festivals and sporting events with these kiosks. "We wanted to create an opportunity that allows our franchise owners to work in nonconventional environments and offer guests a sweet treat when they are unable to access one of our locations," says Rosalie Guillem, CEO and co-founder of Le Macaron French Pastries. "Our products can easily be eaten on the go, so a mobile kiosk aligns perfectly with our brand." The kiosk investment ranges between $91,000 to $127,000. Le Macaron French Pastries requires zero on-site baking from franchisees. All products are made in the chain's headquarters kitchen under the supervision of French Chef Didier Saba. Le Macaron French Pastries was founded in 2009 by mother- daughter team Rosalie Guillem and Audrey Saba. The chain operates more than 50 cafes and two mobile kiosks, open in the company's headquarters city of Sarasota, Fla., and in Pittsburgh, Pa. The brand offers more than 20 flavors of macarons, as well as seasonal flavors, and the menu extends to include pastries, gelato, coffee, cakes, eclairs and more. Domino's Pizza Opens in East Africa Ann Arbor, Mich.-based Domino's Pizza opened its first store in Port Louis, Mauritius, via a partnership with local operator Island Living, the master franchisee for the small island nation. The Port Louis features the chain's pizza theater design, which includes seating that gives guests a front row seat to watch pizza be- ing made. It also has a kid's corner. A second location opened late in 2018 in Beau Bassin. Domino's now operates in more than 85 markets worldwide, with more than half of its global retail sales coming from international stores.
