We hope that this source- book for the designers, architects, project managers and chain operators who read rd+d offers plenty of both practical and creative ideas for your upcoming projects. Over time we see this product issue continuing to grow organically as an increasingly useful tool that will catalog the products and manufacturers that can help make your vision (or re-vision) a reality. As we look forward to 2016, there are a slew of great events on the hori- zon. Budgets are tight and schedules are tighter, but I'd like to mention a few gatherings that I believe are worthy of your consideration. RestaurantPoint 2016 will be held in Orlando from February 28 through March 2. Zoomba Group is proud to continue our association with Con- nectingPoint as their exclusive media partner for this outstanding event. RestaurantPoint continues to attract high level C-suite attendees from both sides of the table. Buyers appreciate the no-nonsense business format cou- pled with the opportunity to set aside meeting time with selected vendors, and suppliers appreciate the quality interactions that come from the well- conceived and carefully executed event. Everyone comes away feeling that their time was well spent. Tour the Design Trends is a debut event from rd+d that will take place in Chicago in June. Chicago has developed a reputation as a world-class culinary city with a rich design and architectural heritage. We will marry these two hallmark windy city traits together with a tour of some of the hottest design-forward restaurants the city has to offer. Restaurant designers will get to see, up close and personal, leading-edge restaurant design. Then, in the fall, the inaugural Foodservice Equipment & Design (FED) Thought Leadership Summit will take place. This invitation-only event will cater exclusively to restaurant design and foodservice e&s; thought leaders, providing content intended to challenge business leaders to think more creative- ly and more strategically. The Thought Leadership Summit, produced by Zoomba Group, and co-hosted by rd+d and Foodservice Equipment & Supplies magazine will bring together the food- service design and e&s; communities like no other event in the industry. Please contact me at Maureen@ zoombagroup.com for consideration for an invitation to these events. 2016 will be an exciting and eventful year. All the best, MAUREEN SLOCUM President and Publisher
