Earlier this year, the chain made its debut in Oklahoma and Texas. In Southern California, Black Bear Diner signed a multi-unit franchise agreement to open six restaurants around the Inland Empire area over the next six years. In Missouri, Black Bear Diner signed an area development agreement to bring the chain to St. Louis and St. Charles counties. The agree- ment calls for the opening of three new units over the next three years, including one this year. Black Bear Diner plans to open at least two new company units in Oklahoma, in Quail Springs in April and in Tulsa in August. Finally, the chain's second Texas location is scheduled to open this summer. Black Bear Diner has 109 locations in 10 western states.
